Christmas, 2013!
Hello again,
It's such a beautiful day here in Texas. And yes, we even have "cold" weather for this fast approaching Christmas. And since I am currently deadline free (HOLLLLLAAAAAAA!!!!!), today has become a day of much needed Christmas prep with my sons. Wrapping gifts, watching old movies, and new. It's given me a clear head, and almost nothing to do. Today, I can't help but reflect on this year, and my little growing family.
Jacob and I have been parents now for a very short 5.5 years, and with each year, I try my best to come up with a Christmas photo that illustrates our family the best. With one photo, that can be quite a task. Especially when two little boys have their own ideas. So that one photo has to be lasting, and unforgettable.
Last year my youngest was a brand new baby. Everything was small, and new. My eldest was adjusting very well to being our "one and only" for four years, to being a big brother. For him, being an older brother was, and still is better than being a super hero. That's why this photo will always be so dear to me, and without any words... this photo speaks so loudly about their brotherly love, and relationship. Gentle protective love. The total opposite of "controlling and competition". On the contrary, he wanted his brother so badly to be here, I know that he will always want his brother. And for that, I couldn't be more thankful for his protective loving nature.
This year hasn't been much different in regards to their beautiful friendship, but now "The Boss" moves around on his own, and really wants to keep up with his big brother. That age difference doesn't matter. He has an adventurous heart like his big brother, and wants to get into everything he sees him doing. "The Duke" never turns him away either. He MUST take him along for the ride, they're a package deal. And everything their Father and I have prayed for.
So once again, this years photo truly does show off this pair of brothers, the way I usually see them. Together, and making memories.
I am so blessed to be surrounded by all these handsome men. I don't know what I would do without those sweet faces in my life. Thank you Lord for a very successful year in business, but above all thank you for my family. I am confident 2014 will also be just as blessed.
Here's a warm HUG, from my family... to yours.
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!

The F Family
Hello again!
Things are quite busy over here at the Tyler home. Our house has been teeming with Christmas music, and Holiday activity. And yes, of course Christmas photos.
This time of year has shown to be very busy for my photography in 2013. There seems to be such a glow and warmth from all around me these days, it's contagious. That's why I had to share this recent family photo session I had with the F Family. These three beautiful ladies were so fun, and easy to photograph. There really was very little direction needed. This is how they really relate to one another- loving, joyful, and warm. With lots and LOTS of hugs (my favorite)!
Originally, our session was scheduled for downtown Rosenberg, but Dawn asked me if I knew of any "dirt roads"? Do I EVER!!! Life as a photographer you know of many dirt roads. You might even get lost down a few...but that's for another blog, another time. Instead, we met at Seabourne Creek Park for a sunset session, and I am so very glad we did.
The moment I take a photo, I tend to know if it will be a "favorite" worthy of a post or a "teaser" for my client's to view before my final edits. With this session, I had too many favorites, it was basically what I would like to call "photography glee overload". When I got home, I was so pleased with the emotions and love coming from those photos, I couldn't wait to share this blog. Dawn showed an unconditional love and warmth for her darling children that could easily be paralleled to the rays of the sun in our photo shoot.
Please enjoy this warm hug from me, and the F Family!

Baby Wolf- Maternity
Hello again,
It has been quite some time since my last post. Due to my broken hand, editing has been slowed to a snails pace for me. As you can imagine, I'm happy I have a chance to recover before wedding season spikes up again. WHEW! Honestly, I think my husband has been nothing but an angel to help with my client's needs and emails and a bit of light editing -with my guidance. Anyhow, enough about the boring "broken bones, and how I cope" stuff! Let's get to the pictures.
I did this session as a gift for an old family friend, and his girlfriend Kaitlyn at the Stafford firehouse. Brad is a firefighter as you will see, and the location was just AMAZING! Who wouldn't want to take cute bump photos at the firehouse on such a beautiful day?! exactly!
Brad, I am so happy for you and your family. Baby Wolf is adorable, and I am so proud to give you these great memories for him to see, when he's older.
Please enjoy this warm hug from me, and all the glorious red!

Larry & Mandi
Hello There. This blog post is all about Larry and Mandi.
This is a fine example of a couple who was definitely made for eachother. Larry and Mandi met through match.com, and learned that not only did they share a love for their four legged friend, both dogs had the same name! What are the odds that your soulmate would not only be searching for you, but have the same taste in dog names?! Luckily, they brought the pups along for our photo shoot.
And allow me to add that this session had a scary train track encounter! Yes, ask any of my client's and they will tell you... I have a deep deep fear of trains, and being stuck on a track. As we were on the tracks in a questionable part of town, a passenger train came roaring down the side of us, and scared the bejesus out of me. I dove off the tracks in quite a dramatic display, screaming like a nutcase headed for the hills. But not Larry and Mandi. They stood firm (a little too close for my comfort), holding hands and embracing the wild thunder of the train together. As I was standing there, feeling the wind nearly knock me down I watched them. Smiles on their faces, ready for anything! A strength I know they will carry into their own marriage.
And yes, we broke the law being on the tracks. The police officer was very kind and gave us just a warning. He even posed with the couple.
So, please enjoy this warm hug from Larry & Mandi, and myself.

Matt and Amanda
Hello everyone,
This has been a very busy year for us, I am way over due on a blog post.
In July, I had the pleasure of taking the photos for Matt and Amanda's wedding. If Amanda looks familiar,
that's because I also did her twins sister's engagement session and wedding two years earlier.
Matt and Amanda are by far one of my most favorite couples. They share a really special bond, and were inseparable the entire night. Rarely, would I find the newlyweds to be without each other. Either side by side giving me the thumbs up sign and a winky face (that happen a lot, and I loved it), or holding hands as they spoke to their guests. It was clear to me, as I am sure to everyone in attendance as well, that Amanda and Matt were truely made to be for one another. And yes, I cried at their wedding!! This is why I am so proud to share their special moments with you all, and wish the happy couple many years of wedded bliss.
Please enjoy this warm hug from Matt + Amanda, and myself!

The D Family
I had such a wonderful time with the D Family! And I look forward to doing their newborn session, and of course posting and sharing with you all. Maternity sessions are always beautiful. But there is something special about when older siblings are involved. Seeing their little smiles grow when you ask about their new little baby, watching as these sweet darlings kiss their mommy's tummy. This is love, this is life.
I was once told, "when you have more than one child, your heart doesn't love one child less. You do not divide that love. No... you heart grows, just like your family grows."
This family has so much love, they're bubbling with joy for their newest family member, and first daughter.
Beautiful!
This is a warm hug from me and the D family.
Enjoy!
